How does your media product represent particular social groups?
Unlike some other magazines, the music magazine I have created is not specifically targeted at a certain genre of music, such as 'Indie' or 'Pop'. Instead I have based my magazine more on the chart/gossip genre which therefore incorporates many music genres and tastes. This is similar to magazines such as 'Q' or 'BILLBOARD' which cover a wide variety of music, changing weekly. As there is not a certain social group I am aiming for, my target audience is somewhat larger than say that of a 'RnB' music magazine.
The target audience I am aiming for is the teenager to young adult age range of 16-21 who typically enjoy music and follow the music scene.
